Trainer Criteria
Qualification standards
NAVTTC's official notification of the standardized qualification criteria your trainers must meet to deliver PM Youth Skills Development Program trades.
What it specifies
- For each trade: course duration, student entry level and required trainer qualification
- Alternative routes, e.g. Diploma/DAE + experience OR a relevant degree + experience
- Across 10 industry sectors (Health & Services, Construction, Hospitality, IT, Agriculture and more)
- Example - Auto Electrician: a 1-year diploma with 5 years experience, or a BE with 2 years experience

Who can register an institute with NAVTTC?
Any training provider with legal status (registration/incorporation), an NTN, an institutional bank account, and proof of premises (ownership or lease) can apply through the NAVTTC registration portal.
What documents are required for registration?
Typically your legal status certificate, NTN, institutional bank account details, ownership or lease proof, and an approved layout plan. The online portal lets you upload these and track your application in real time.
How long is the registration valid?
Registration is valid for the period stated on your certificate, after which it can be renewed through the same portal.
What is the difference between registration and accreditation?
Registration onboards your institute as a recognised TVET provider. Accreditation, awarded through the National Accreditation Council (NAC-TVS), is a quality-assurance mark confirming your faculty, facilities and training meet national standards.
How do I become a certified assessor?
Qualified professionals can apply to join the national pool of Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A) assessors. Once certified, you can conduct NVQF-aligned assessments across the country.
