Trainer Criteria
Qualification standards
NAVTTC's official notification of the standardized qualification criteria your trainers must meet to deliver PM Youth Skills Development Program trades.
What it specifies
- For each trade: course duration, student entry level and required trainer qualification
- Alternative routes, e.g. Diploma/DAE + experience OR a relevant degree + experience
- Across 10 industry sectors (Health & Services, Construction, Hospitality, IT, Agriculture and more)
- Example - Auto Electrician: a 1-year diploma with 5 years experience, or a BE with 2 years experience

Scored out of 100 across 7 areas
- Monitoring & Evaluation (30) and Registration (20) carry the most weight
- Plus Accreditation (10), Affiliation (10) and International Accreditation (20)
- Employment outcomes (5) and Final Assessment & Certification (5)
- Grades: A 85-100 Excellent, B 75-84 Very Good, C 65-74 Good, D 50-64 Satisfactory
