What is NAC-TVS?

The National Accreditation Council for Technical and Vocational Skills (NAC-TVS) is NAVTTC's quality assurance mechanism for TVET institutes. It evaluates institutes across 10 performance areas with a comprehensive 1000-point assessment framework.

Accreditation ensures institutes meet nationally recognized benchmarks for governance, infrastructure, faculty qualifications, training delivery, and industry linkages. The accreditation status is recognized by all provincial TEVTAs, QABs, and industry stakeholders.

Application Submission

Applications with a duly paid fee challan are received online through ams.nac.gov.pk and in hard documented form at NAVTTC headquarters.

Step 2 of 7

Desk Scrutiny

Desk review of the institution's worth and readiness, collecting any missing documents before a site visit is scheduled.

Visit Plan

A visit plan for institutes ready for accreditation is initiated by the accreditation wing for approval of the Executive Director NAVTTC.

Scheduling Process

Site Visit & Assessment

Accreditors of the relevant trades from the Accreditors Pool (industry, chambers, TEVTAs) assess all 10 performance areas (1000 points).

Minimum 700 points (70%) required for accreditation. The team submits the report online and in hard form to the NAC Accreditation wing.

TA&QEC Review

A high-level committee (TA&QEC) of public and private sector representatives evaluates every institute's assessment report.

NAC Approval

Recommendations go to the National Accreditation Council (NAC) - ministries, TEVTAs, PEC, HEC, industry and FPCCI - for final scrutiny and approval.

Certificate Award

Certificates of accreditation are awarded, the institute joins the official registry and may use the NAC-TVS mark. Valid for 3 years.
